Personal Training

The Old Colony YMCA offers members the opportunity to get the most out of their fitness routine by offering the latest equipment and fitness resources.  We also offer a variety of classes, from aquatic jogging to spinning, to encourage and motivate our members.  There is something for everyone at our YMCA!

After assessment of your current level of fitness and health history, a personal trainer will help you to set realistic health and fitness goals. Once your goals are set, a plan can be implemented and the trainer will provide the motivation, support and knowledge to help you achieve those goals. Enjoy the benefits of one-on-one personal training, partner training, or group training with a certified personal trainer. Personal trainers will design a program to best match your fitness goals, hold you accountable, and keep you motivated to reach your fitness goals. PLEASE NOTE: 24 hour notice directly to the trainer is required to cancel a session. Cancellations with less than a day notice, depending on the circumstances, may not be reimbursed by service or monetary refund.

GET STARTED

Are you new to our fitness center? Do you need a refresher? Let our qualified fitness staff show you the proper technique when using the fitness equipment. This is an informal Q & A and hands-on session where you tell us what you would like to learn. Free Get Started Coaching! New members and those who need a refresher get 3 FREE Get Started sessions with a YMCA Wellness Coach. Our coaches help you establish a workout plan and also teach you how to use the cardio and strength training equipment. We’ll also introduce you to group exercise and aquatics options.

ADULT STARTER FITNESS AREA

Our YMCA has designed a special room for you!  This room contains all the exercise essentials you will need to exercise.  Boasting 8 pieces of equipment for a full body workout, as well as 3 cardio pieces, the Starter Fitness Area has been put in place specifically for those of you who are new to exercise and feel uncomfortable going into a larger, more populated gym area.  It is set aside from the regular exercise area and is a great place for you to call your own!
