Crocetti’s Raises $7,500 for East Bridgewater YMCA, Expanding Access for Local Youth EAST BRIDGEWATER – Crocetti’s, a well-known South Shore butcher shop and specialty food market with deep roots in the community, has raised $7,500 for the East Bridgewater YMCA through a two-month campaign that brought customers together around a shared purpose. The family business, which traces its origins back to a small Italian grocery store opened in 1917, has grown over generations while maintaining its focus on quality, affordability, and service. That same commitment to community was on full display throughout February and March. During the campaign, Crocetti’s donated to the YMCA $2 from every “Mama’s Meal” sold, with more than 3,000 meals purchased. Customers also contributed an additional $1,400 through in-store donations. Owned by Carlo Crocetti and Chris Menta, the family-run business continues a long-standing tradition of giving back. Crocetti’s was recently recognized at a Town of East Bridgewater Select Board meeting for its ongoing support of local initiatives by the East Bridgewater Police Department, East Bridgewater Fire Department, East Bridgewater Veterans’ Services, East Bridgewater Council on Aging, East Bridgewater YMCA, and through citations presented by Senator Michael Brady and Representative Alyson Sullivan-Almeida.“We’re incredibly grateful to Crocetti’s and everyone who supported this effort,” said Derek Paiva, Vice President of the East Bridgewater YMCA. “This is what community partnership looks like. When people show up in small ways, it adds up to something meaningful for local youth.”Proceeds from the campaign will directly support access to Camp Satucket through financial assistance, while also helping local teens and youth access YMCA memberships and programs throughout the year at no cost.Crocetti’s also shared appreciation on social media, noting that the success of the campaign was made possible by the thousands of community members who chose to participate and give back. For more information about the East Bridgewater YMCA, summer camp, or ways to get involved, visit oldcolonyymca.org/eastbridgewater. ###About the Old Colony YMCAAt the Y, strengthening communities is our cause.
