The Old Colony YMCA is joining Ys across the country for Five Days of Action®, taking place April 13-17, 2026. This campaign focuses on raising awareness and equipping adults with tools to help prevent child sexual abuse, with an added focus on digital safety this year.

Throughout the week, the Old Colony YMCA will share resources to support parents and caregivers as they navigate today’s digital landscape and help keep young people safe both online and in everyday settings.

The campaign encourages adults to recognize warning signs, have open conversations with children, access helpful resources, and take the pledge to protect kids at fivedaysofaction.org.

As part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, we’re also sharing this external resource from the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Suffolk County, which is offering a free webinar series for parents and caregivers throughout April:
