Raising Multicultural Kids and Easton YMCA Celebrate Second Year of Partnership Bringing “Littlest Inclusive Learners” to Preschool Classrooms
Raising Multicultural Kids and Easton YMCA Celebrate Second Year of Partnership Bringing “Littlest Inclusive Learners” to Preschool Classrooms Easton, MA — Raising Multicultural Kids (RMK) is thrilled to announce its continued partnership with the Easton YMCA for the second consecutive year, bringing the Littlest Inclusive Learners (LiLs) program to preschool classrooms across the community.“Through LiLs, young children gain a window into cultures from around the world, and for some, a mirror reflecting their own heritage. They also have an opportunity to explore the many ways that other people navigate the world. These early experiences help children begin to understand who they are, while also learning how to welcome and celebrate others in their community and beyond,” said Denise Barbosa Lane, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Raising Multicultural Kids.As part of this partnership, RMK educators will visit the preschool classrooms at both Easton YMCA Child Care Centers bi-weekly, delivering engaging lessons, stories, and hands-on activities that celebrate diversity and inclusion. The program provides a foundation for empathy, curiosity, and understanding, helping children explore the many ways people navigate and experience the world.“We are so excited to continue this partnership with Raising Multicultural Kids,” said Andrea Gardner, Senior Program Director at the Easton YMCA. “Now more than ever, it is essential that we help our youngest learners understand the value of embracing and celebrating our differences. Through the Littlest Inclusive Learners program, our preschoolers are building empathy, confidence, and pride in what makes them unique — while learning to appreciate the qualities that make others special as well. This partnership strengthens our commitment to nurturing caring, inclusive leaders for the future.”Raising Multicultural Kids, a Southeastern Massachusetts–based nonprofit, is dedicated to increasing cultural competency in local communities through deep engagement with schools, educators, and families.
