Old Colony YMCA Raises $59,000 at the Easton Summer Soiree, to Support Local Families Easton, MA - Old Colony YMCA raised $59,000 at the Easton Summer Soiree on Thursday, June 11, at Easton Country Club. The event welcomed 150 guests and raised funds to give local children the opportunity to experience YMCA summer camp, regardless of their family's ability to pay. Every dollar raised helps ensure more kids can enjoy a summer filled with friendships, adventure, confidence, and belonging.A highlight of the evening was hearing from local campers and their siblings. Instead of a traditional guest speaker, they shared what the Y means to them and the impact it has had on their lives. Their stories reminded guests why the community comes together each year: to ensure every child has the chance to experience the magic of camp. The event committee was led by Soiree Chair Raegan Florence, along with committee members Gary and Marjorie Fradin, Pete Timbrell, and Lisa Devos. The Y also extends its appreciation to Board Chair Ian Hobkirk and Vice Chair Adam Clewer for their continued leadership and commitment to the Y’s mission.Old Colony YMCA thanks this year’s sponsors: The Fradin Family, The Florence Family, North Easton Savings Bank, Trinity Medical, Dustbusters, Florence Family Charitable Foundation, Premier Properties, Brouillette HVAC, Morse Insurance, Kenney & Conley PC, Margaret Dwyer and Michael Hogan, Craig Barger, Basse Associates, Rebecca Sandgarten, and Evergreen Landscaping. The Y is also grateful to the Easton Board of Governors, the Soiree Committee, Easton Country Club, donors, attendees, volunteers, and staff who helped make the event possible. The funds raised will help the Easton Y continue to provide programs and support for local children and families.
