Middleboro YMCA Raises Over $76,000 at 16TH Annual Imagine Gala

Middleboro

MIDDLEBORO, MA – The Middleboro YMCA hosted its 16th annual Imagine Gala on Saturday, March 1st, 2024, marking a significant milestone in its mission to strengthen communities. This year’s event, held at a new venue, the Canoe Club in West Bridgewater, saw an impressive turnout of 177 attendees from across the region.

The gala was an outstanding success, surpassing its fundraising target by raising over $76,000. Funds generated will directly benefit vital programs such as LIVESTRONG for cancer survivors, Y summer camp, mentoring, and inclusive programming, impacting the lives of many within the community.

Attendees enjoyed a delightful evening filled with memorable experiences, including a complimentary signature drink and dinner wine service by LKnife and Son, live music performed by three talented YMCA piano students – Ben Luce, Jacob Gunnison, and Maxwell Smith – during the Cocktail Hour, and an inspiring story shared by Maggie Cate Cunha. The event also featured the induction of Ryco Inc. and the Lamoureux family into the Hall of Fame, followed by a live auction led by Tom Rogers.

Judi Kagiwada Bononno, Chair of the Gala Committee, reflected on the event's success, stating, “Every year, this gala brings its own unique energy, its own compelling stories, and its own reasons to celebrate our collective achievements.”

The Middleboro YMCA extends its heartfelt appreciation to Bud Morton, the evening’s photographer, for his commitment to this event every year, as well as to Italian Gem Café in Middleboro for their donation of amazing dessert trays, and to Philibotte Florist for the beautiful flower displays generously donated to enhance the ambiance of the gala.

Visionary Sponsors Arbella Insurance Foundation and Ryco Inc., along with four Trail Blazer Sponsors – Blue Stone Bank, FB Insure, North Easton Savings Bank, and T.M Ryder  contributed significantly to the gala’s success.

The Middleboro Y expresses its sincere gratitude to all attendees, sponsors, and supporters who contributed to making the 16th Annual Imagine Gala an unforgettable and impactful event.
