Middleboro YMCA Raises over $67,000 at 14th Annual Imagine Gala

TM Ryder Insurance and Joseph and Holly Camillo were honored as this year’s Hall of Fame Inductees. The success of this event was possible thanks to the generosity of sponsors, Hotel 1620 and their staff, LKnife, Sam Adams, local small business owner Darlene Donnelly of Heritage Flowers, Photographer Bud Morton, Middleboro YMCA Board of Governors Chair Tom Rogers, and Middleboro YMCA.

 

Middleboro, Massachusetts – Old Colony YMCA Middleboro, a nonprofit charitable organization serving over 7,200 members in the community with approximately 220,000 visits in a year, raised over $67,000 on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at its 14th Annual Imagine Gala.

Held at Hotel 1620 in Plymouth, the gala welcomed 150 guests and 44 sponsors. Proceeds will help the Y provide services for children and families throughout the region including special needs services and Camp Yomechas scholarships.

The Imagine Gala was all about the idea of re-imagining the evening and what the future holds for the Middleboro YMCA, after two difficult years that upended everyone’s life. This event was possible due to the amazing leaders, members, and sponsors supporting Old Colony YMCA along the way.

“Tonight is about celebrating the selfless acts of human kindness that helped us get to this point in our recovery, it’s about re-imagining what a YMCA can be said Vincent Marturano, President & CEO.

“Events like this make it possible for the Y to have the ability to offer their amazing programs to those who otherwise would be unable to afford them on their own” said Judi Kagiwada Bononno, Chair of this year’s planning committee.

The night began with a complimentary cocktail hour by LKnife and Sam Adams which included two incredible pianist from the Middleboro YMCA Music Program, and two heartfelt testimonies from the Child Care Program, and a Camp Yomechas parent. The night continued with the honorable induction of TM Ryder Insurance, and Joseph and Holly Camillo into the Hall of Fame, and a Live Auction that included some great packages with robust Fund-a-need, where attendees supported in many ways various programs offered by the Y.

The gala brought together two Visionary Sponsors such as Arbella Insurance Foundation and Panacea Wellness, and four Trail Blazer Sponsors such as Bluestone Bank, North Easton Savings Bank, Bank Ryco Excavating, and TM Ryder Insurance.
