The Old Colony YMCA (OCY) Emergency Residences are congregate care programs contracted through the Department of Children and Families that serve 13-18 year old youth, who are in the custody of DCF through CRA, Care and Protection, or Voluntary Placement Agreement.  The Emergency Residences provide youth with clinical services, including case management, multiple assessments, weekly sessions, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.  The program seek to stabilize youth as they work towards their identified next level of care.  Programs work with DCF in securing appropriate services referrals for youth, coordinate medical/dental/health appointments, and to engage families as their youth works through the program.  The Old Colony YMCA Emergency Residence (ER) in Brockton is a 1:3 male program that serves males through the state of MA. The OCY ER in New Bedford is a 1:3 female program that serves females through the state of MA.  Both programs are designed to accommodate intakes 24 hours a day when there are vacancies within the program.
