Youth Focus Offering a safe environment for education, fitness, leadership and character development programming to support youth and families on-site in four Brockton Housing Authority developments.
The Old Colony YMCA Youth Focus Program offers a safe environment for comprehensive education, fitness, leadership and character development programming to support youth and families on-site in four Brockton Housing Authority developments. We also act as an information and referral program to link youth and families to existing outside services provided by local non-profits, faith-based organizations, and educational institutions. Youth Focus brings YMCA services to youth and families where they live! We work inside Brockton Housing Authority neighborhoods to help children and families make smart, safe, and healthy choices - avoiding alcohol, drugs, gang activity, and violence - by introducing them to positive ways to spend their leisure time, encouraging educational goals and attainment, and reintegrating youth and their families into safe, conventional community activities.
