Antonio Almeida - Inspiring YouthBuild Graduate!

Old Colony YMCA YouthBuild Fall River graduate Antonio Almeida has used his YouthBuild experience to open many doors.

He has gone from experiencing homelessness to being a graduate assistant in our construction department.  Along the way he has: earned his GED; been named the Fall River Youth of the Year; delivered a speech at Gov. Deval Patrick's inaugural gala; made two trip to Gulfport, Mississippi to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina; and has been recognized nationally with the "Leadership Award" awarded by the Corporation for National and Community Service. 

Tony has delivered moving speeches in Massachusetts as well as in Washington, DC.  He is an inspirational role model for any young person looking to follow his path.
