Who is eligible?
Young men and women between the ages of 16-24 who do not have a GED or High School Diploma and are interested in bettering their lives through education and skills training.
How do I apply?
Contact the program by phone or walk-in to begin the application process. The application process consists of filling out an application, taking a placement test, and attending an interview with program staff.
Do I get paid?
Yes, you do receive a bi-weekly stipend for attending YouthBuild Brockton. This stipend is attendance and performance based.
What else does YouthBuild Brockton offer besides a GED?
YouthBuild Brockton offers a wide range of services and opportunities including construction skills training, job placement assistance, post-secondary education assistance, life skills programming, drivers' education, leadership and civic engagement opportunities, "green" industry training, local and national YouthBuild events and activities, and referral to many community resources.
Does YouthBuild Brockton accept students with criminal records?
Yes, depending on the severity of the charges. Please contact us and we will handle your situation individually and confidentially.
How long is a day at YouthBuild Brockton?
The program runs Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm.
What is the duration of the YouthBuild Brockton program?
YouthBuild Brockton is a ten month program from October through the following July.
Do you accept everyone who applies?
No, space is limited so get the application process underway early and show us you are truly committed to improving yourself through education and job training!
What if I'm not ready to commit to this program?
If you like the idea of YouthBuild, but are not sure if you can commit to a 10-month program, contact us anyway. We have other educational and job placement opportunities that might be a better fit for you!
