Boys Shelter Care - Brockton

The Boys Shelter Care Unit is a 25 bed residential facility serving adolescent males between the ages of 11 and 18 that have been referred by the Department of Youth Services.

The Boys Shelter Care Unit contracts with the Department of Youth Services to provide twenty four hour services including education, health, therapy and assessment.  The program's clientele includes committed youth awaiting assessment services, program placement or a revocation hearing, as well as serving an increased population of youth who have been detained by the Juvenile Court and are awaiting their next scheduled court date.

We promote an asset-based model of services, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to encourage residents to bond with staff and maximize program safety.  Our staff is engages the residents in activities which promote self-worth and positive growth and allow the program to utilize an effective behavior management model.
