The Old Colony YMCA has something for everyone! Whether it is youth or adult sports you are after, you'll find something that is right for you, your children and your family.
Kids will love our youth sports offerings! They will learn new things, make new friends and have a great time. Our programs improve children's athletic skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork and the development of a positive self-esteem.
Adult Sports
Designed for players of all levels, our adult sports offerings are designed to give adults an opportunity to participate in organized activities while having fun, meeting new people and getting fit.
Here at our Middleboro Branch we offer:
Mini-Kicks (ages 3-4)
This parent/child class introduces the child to some of the basics of soccer.
Little Kicks (ages 4-6)
Individual soccer skills are reinforced, while team concepts are introduced.
Big Kicks (ages 6-8)
More advanced skills and concepts are introduced, and class will cosist of competitive games.
Youth Flag Football Program
Learn to play football while having fun in this non-tackle league! Divisions are grouped by age.
Co-ed Basketball (grades K-7)
Children will learn the fundamentals of backetball in a fun, game-playing environment. Players will participate in age-appropriate offensive and defensive drills, as well as organized games. Divisions are grouped by age.
Floor Hockey (grades K-4)
Learn the fundamentals of hockey. Stick-handling, passing, positional play and goal tending will all be covered during the season.
Indoor Soccer (ages 4-6)
Children will get an overview of sovver with the parents acting as on-field coaches.
Indoor T-Ball (ages 4-5)
This co-ed class will focus on teaching the basic fundamentals of baseball indoors. This is a great class to prepare for the spring session of t-ball.
Multi-sports class (grades 1-3)
This class will focus on having fun while participating in a variety of sports including: indoor soccer, wiffleball, floor hockey and basketball.
Youth Basketball League
Children will learn the fundamentals of basketball in a game-playing environment.
Karate
Tang So Do emphasizes skill development, physical fitness, discipline and self-confidence.
Co-ed Dodgeball (ages 8-11)
We will playbyofficial dodgeball rules and encourage a fun and competitive atmosphere.
Youth Track Club (ages 9-14)
Interested in learning the basic rules and having fun with Track and Field? You can sign up for this great outdoor class.
Baseball Conditioning
Gear up for the season with a Fitness Instructor teaching you all the mechanics of the proper exercises to strengthen your play.
Fencing
Fencing is an exciting sport that combines physical and mental strategies with dynamic skills. Learning to fence encourages self control and knowledge in the art of defense.
Adult Co-ed Recreational Volleyball
Join in on some enjoyable exercise as you compete in some pick-up games.
Men's 30 and Up Recreactional Basketball
Join our Sunday night league and get some fun exercise while competing in various pick-up games.
Adult Co-ed Dodgeball
If you can do the Electric SLide than you can dodge a ball!
