Child Care
TODDLER/ PRESCHOOL / PRE-KINDERGARTEN
The Middleboro YMCA Toddler/ Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Child Care Programs operate year round, Monday through Friday from 7 am to 6 pm. There is a two day minimum per week; openings for select days are available on a limited basis. Weekly swim lessons are included for Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Additional preschool enrichment classes are offered during school hours for an additional fee, such as: gymnastics, art class and more!
The Child Care Staff believe that each child is special, with his or her own personality, talents, and skills. Our curriculum reflects the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, as well as our commitment to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Child Care Staff are CPR/ First Aid certified and must pass and extensive background check. All of the Child Care Programs are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care. (EEC)
Toddler Care (15 months- 2.9 years)
NOW OPEN! Our Toddler and Toddler Transition classrooms offer your toddler a variety of activities that provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment with exciting, hands-on activities and themes.
Preschool (Ages 2.9 - 4 years)
Your child will learn through a wide variety of fun, educational activities that are planned around their individual needs. Some activities will include: circle time, learning about the months, weather, social skills, and more.
Pre-Kindergarten (Ages 4 - 5 years)
Our Pre-Kindergarten curriculum is based on EEC standards for Kindergarten readiness as well as our YMCA core values. Learning through play, your child will be evaluated and assisted with their individual developmental needs for Kindergarten.
Preschool Enrichment Classes (Ages 2 - 5 years)
With small classes, your child will receive the individualized and appropriate attention they need while learning preschool social skills. Our specialty instructors have all been carefully selected to teach their area of interest as well as have successfully completed a mandatory background check. With classes scheduled back to back and the lunch bunch scheduled from noon to 1:00 pm, your child can enroll in more than one class and a teacher will escort your child from one class to the next. BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
YMCA Kids Club
Before School Care (Grades K - 5))
Monday- Friday, 7:00 am to start of school
The before-school program allows you to drop your child off in a safe and fun environment in the early morning hours. Breakfast is included. Located in the cafeteria at the following Middleboro Schools: H.B. Burkland Elementary School, Memorial Early Childhood Center, Mary K. Goode Elementary School.
After School Care (Grades K - 5)
Monday- Friday, from school dismissal until 6:00 pm
Our after school program offers children a fun place to be from the time school ends until 6:00 pm. The program includes: snack, homework time, arts & crafts, gym games and enrichment. Snack is included. Located in the cafeteria at the following Middleboro Schools: H.B. Burkland Elementary School, Memorial Early Childhood Center, Mary K. Goode Elementary School.
YMCA Vacation Fun Club (Grades K-8)
(School Vacation Weeks) from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Join the fun at the YMCA during school vacation weeks. Your child may enjoy trips, swim time, gym games, theme days and arts & crafts. You will be able to select the days for which you need care. Breakfast & Snack is provided; however, children must bring their own lunch. Located at Camp Yomechas.
Nichols Middle School After School Program (Grades 6 - 8)
Monday - Friday, from school dismissal until 6:00 pm
The Middle School After School Program offers a wide variety of activities such as homework help, teambuilding games, leadership skills, art classes, sport games and so much more! The program is housed in the Nichols Middle School Library, in addition to access to the gym, cafeteria and outside! A place for your "tweener" to feel safe, develop skills and hang out with friends!
