The team is open to any swimmer between the ages of 6 and 18. Please call for pricing.  Swim team members must be members of the YMCA. Swim team fees do not include a YMCA membership.

Youth Aquatics
Parent Child / Preschool

This program stresses enjoyment, swimming activities, development of confidence in parents and children, and safety skills.  Each class emphasizes mental and spiritual growth as well as physical development. Safety is a major consideration in the curriculum. The children, or parent/child teams (for children under the age of three) participate in swimming activities and water adjustment through games and songs.

Youth Program

This step-by-step progression of swimming and safety skills enables an individual to swim safely, enjoy the water and use swimming as a lifetime fitness sport. Please note that as classes become more difficult, it may be necessary for your child to repeat a class to effectively master the skills. All children must be 6 or older by the start of the session.

Splash Week

This program is offered to provide children, who have little or no experience in the water, a chance to come to the YMCA pool and have some fun.

Porpoise Club

Class will focus on the four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, as well as other aspects of competitive swimming. Participants will have completed either the fish or flying fish levels.

Private Swim Lessons

30 minutes of one-on-one instruction available for ages 3 to adult.

Teen Aquatics
Teen Wave (Ages 12-17)

This is a class for teens who have not had swim lessons before or are uncomfortable in the water. Students are introduced to fundamentals such as stroke development and rotary breathing as well as water safety and rescue skills.

Lifeguarding Course

This course is designed to prepare participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to be a lifeguard. Course provides a lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid certification recognized and accepted by many organizations and state codes. Must be 16+ and pass a preadmission swim test.
