Youth At Risk

Sometimes wrong choices lead young people down a path with negative consequences.  The Old Colony YMCA offers services that help youth and their families break destructive patterns and learn to live responsibly.  These programs, funded through the Massachusetts state departments of Youth Services, Children and Families, and Mental Health, offer assessment and individualized treatment with a multidisciplinary approach that involves the entire family.

These programs work to ensure that these youth have a long term system of support and resources.  For an overview of our Social Services programs, click here.

For more information or a referral, contact:

Kenneth Klier (508) 897-1224
Senior Vice President, Social Services
Joanne Mathews (508) 897-1279
Senior Vice President, Program Development/Quality Assurance
Thomas W. Dunse (508) 674-2900
Vice President, Clinical Services

We offer a free program to our community youth.  Junior High and High School students must register for the program, arrive by 3:30 pm and have parental consent.  Our Teen Program offers a variety of fitness and sport activities.  Teens between grades 7-12 participate in the Teen Scholarship Program Monday-Friday from 2:30-5:30 pm and have access to both gymnasiums.  Teen Swim is also available from 3:00-4:00 pm on select days.
