Sports

The Old Colony YMCA has something for everyone!  Whether it is youth or adult sports you are after, you'll find something that is right for you, your children and your family.

Kids will love our youth sports offerings! They will learn new things, make new friends and have a great time.  Our programs improve children's athletic skills while emphasizing fun, sportsmanship, teamwork and the development of a positive self-esteem.
Adult Sports
Designed for players of all levels, our adult sports offerings are designed to give adults an opportunity to participate in organized activities while having fun, meeting new people and getting fit.

 

Gym Rentals Available

Are you looking for gym space to hold your practices or try-outs?

Adult Co-Ed Recreational Volleyball
(Ages 18 & older)

Take part in pick-up games that will be up to 15 points.  Minimum of 6 adults. Teams are responsible for breakdown of equipment. Open for players of all abilities.
*Located in small gym.
Monday 7:15 pm
Wednesday 7:15 pm

  

Early Bird Basketball

Allows members to participate in full court recreational games in the large gym before work hours.  All basketball enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. The emphasis of this program is a hearty workout, with lots of FUN!!!!
*Located in large gym.
Mon/Wed/Fri 6:30 - 8:30 am

  

Noon-Time Basketball

For the lunch hour basketball enthusiast. Games are played full court to seven baskets allowing a fluid rotation and fun action for everyone!!! This traditional "Y" program brings many members together for a great lunch-time workout.
*Located in large gym.
Mon/Wed/Fri 12:00 noon - 1:45 pm

  

35-Years & "Over the Hill" Basketball Program

This program has been organized by the Program department and longstanding Y members who have enjoyed engaging in a recreational basketball program. The common theme of this program is the maturity and realization that the most important result is the enjoyment derived from exercising together.
*Located in large gym.
Tuesday/Thursday 6:00 - 8:30 pm

 

Individual or Team Sports


2 Indoor running/walking tracks
4 handball/racquetball courts
2 large basketball gymnasiums
